We are in Prince George BC

Teslin Lake Sunrise

We have stopped in Prince George and will leave here Friday am and head to Vancouver. Erin Green you need to let me know if you want us to stop at Mom and Dads house and pick up anything....sorry cant pick up any horses for you but any smaller items we would be happy to bring you LOL

Melissa almost hit a deer today on the way here and it scared the heck out of us. The little peckers are as bad as the damn ones in NJ!!!!! Jump out of the trees right in front of you.

We decided not to tow the car because it was so hard on the RV and the car towing it up through Canada because the roads are so bad so I have not taken many pics. The Video below (if I can get it to load) is of Buffalo that are along the road. Keep in mind I was driving while trying to video with the dogs in the car barking at them. At the end of the video one started to run toward the car so I had to punch it. God this is fun stuff!
video is a no go will try again tomorrow

greetings from BC

Beverly broke down on the Alaska Highway a few days ago and we were lucky enough to have really nice guy stop that happed to be a mechanic. He also happened to grow up 20 miles from me in California...small world isnt it? He said she needed a new alternator and he would install it for us for free if we went and picked up the part. So we parked her next to a beautiful lake in the middle of no where British Colombia and headed 3 hours to get the part, which was in stock (thank goodness) and it took him 20 minutes to put it in, then we were on our way. We were so lucky that he happened to stop and was willing to help.

The drive up to that point and the remaining few hours here was another difficult drive with all of the wildlife on the road. We saw heards of wild horses, bison and caraboo on and next to the road. We would round a corner or over a hill and here would be animals standing in the road. I think we are past most of that now or at least hope we are past it LOL

Tomorrow we will head to Prince George then down to Vancouver. Today is a down day so I can send resumes and follow up on some sent. (I have to be a good girl and look for work)

I will keep everyone posted on our progress . Below I tried to post a short video to show how fun the animals are....will keep trying

we are in Canada

The past few days have been a little scary!!!! We had to delay leaving Alaska because a storm came in suddenly and had wind gusts of 75mph. OMG I thought the RV would tip over. We stayed at the campground we were at and faced the RV into the wind and hung on. It lasted about 24 hours and we were a little worried. Then it ended as fast as it started.
We left Sat am and headed for Tok Alaska. We saw lots of Moose and Elk on the drive up.
This morning we left Tok in a hurry because of a Winter Storm warning predicting 5 inches of snow in the area. We crossed the boarder into Canada around noon then we made it as far as Whitehorse and have stopped here for the night. The drive over the mountain scared the hell out of me because no only was the road really bad (either not paved or pot holes as big as a house) it also had snowed the night before so it was icy and slushy. YIKES but we are safe. Crystal said it snowed there today so I think it is really good we left when we did or we would not have gotten out of Alaska till next spring LOL
We are safe and will check in again soon

Heading back to the lower 48 tomorrow

Kaplan Lake in Palmer Alaska

Kaplan Lake

Same pic as above ....I uploaded it twice and couldnt remove it LOL, so here it is again

The tempatures are starting to drop down so it is time to get the heck out of town. We are packing today and will leave in the am to Tok Alaska for the night then over the boarder to the Yukon. I am NOT looking forward to the trip back down through the Yukon. The roads are really bad so you have to go really slow or you bottom out. It will be two days of hell then we will be in BC and the roads will be much better.
We are going to stop in Grey Wells Povinicial Park near Clearwater BC then will be in Whistler the following day then will spend a few days in Vancouver.
We had such a good time here and would love to stay if it didnt turn into the frigid freezing yucky winter that is coming fast.
I will check in from Canada
