We just finished a few travel days....I really dont like Nevada
After the Coast we sent back to Sacramento to get some personal business taken care of and to visit with a good friend that we have not seen in 10 years. Erin Green is a friend from our life with horses. She is from Canada and came to the states to look for a Young Rider horse and ended up staying on at the ranch we lived at and working and riding there for a number of years. We developed a good friendship during those years and I didnt realize how much I missed that friendship until we say her again. We spent hours chatting about old times and horses and the psyco world of Dressage competition that we lived in all those years. I think it is safe to say that we agreed that the show world of dressage brings out the worst in people.
We drove for what seems like forever in the desert to get across Nevada. It is ugly and hot and I really did not find anything about it that I liked.
Today we are in Hot Lava Srings Idahoe at a campground right on a river. I will take some pics tomorrow and post them. We will be in Yellowstone the day after tomorrow and will stay until the 8th. I am looking forward to seeing Yellowstone for the 1st time!!!!

we are staying a few extra days so Melissa can have Kyle come visit
We are going to spend a few more days here so Kyle can come visit. After that we head up the coast all the way to Alaska. We decided to hit Yellowstone on our way back down from Alaska since it was a little hard to get camping sites in July there.
We have done some short hikes with the dogs to a beach near by since they are feeling better. Also spent time watching the Kite Surfers ....looks like fun but they have to be crazy to get in that cold pacific ocean.

spending a few days on the coast with sick dogs
The dogs all caught something at the kennel we left them at in Vegas. The vet said it is a dog flue and will take antibotics and time to get over it. So here I am dog sitting sick dogs.
We are in a little campground about 30 miles above or north of Santa Cruz. Patrick and Nestor there was a beach that you two hiked down the path to the beach ... I am 5 miles up north from there. I have an ocean view so being confined with sick dogs is not all that bad.
Yesterday it was overcast all day but today we have sun so I may have to put the dogs in the car and go for a drive, unfortunately no swimming for them today.
I will get some pics and post them soon

I am exhausted!!!!
These girls ran me ragged !
We picked up Crystal in Vegas and had such a good time. We stayed at the Paris Hotel and lounged by the pool for a few days. The girls did the club thing. They were so proud of themselves for getting into the club called the "Bank" by looking what they call HOT. I guess there was a line at the door with many peeps waiting to get in and pay the 30 dollar door charge....my girls flirted they way past the line and the door charge, I am afraid to ask details.
After a few days in Vegas I was ready to leave LOL. We spent a few days in the Grand Canyon and Antelope Canyon/Slot Canyons. Both places are breath taking.
Disney Land was fun fun fun. The lines were long at times then others were only 15 minutes.
I am off to bed because tomorrow is a travel day and we leave early in the morning. We are on our way to Pescadero to spend a few days on the coast. I need the northern California ocean after the desert and over 100 degree wether.

Lee and Sandy met up with us in Tahoe for the last three days. I have not spent any time with them since I moved to Jersey so it was good to see them and get caught up on everything.

The weather was great so Missy and her Uncle Lee went Kayaking while I spent some quality time with Sandy. For those of you who dont know Sandy and I were best friends since 3rd grade and she ended up married to my brother Lee. It was alot of fun to chat about old times and catch up on family news. As you can see from the pics the lake was really calm and made for a perfect day to be out kayaking. They put in a little north of Cave Rock and paddled North to a rock jetty where they swam and got some sun.
Lee you should have listened to Melissa.....the sun in the mountains and on the lake is very different from the Arizona sun. Sorry about the sun burn!
Bill Grassberger came down from Nevada City to see Lee and so we all got together at the Tahoe house for drinks. I have not seen Bill since High School!!!!! He still looks the same as he did then LOL. We had such a good time together again. It was funny to talk about the stupid things we did.
I hope to get Lee, Sandy and Bill up to Yellowstone for more camping and boating adventures.
What do you say guys? are you game? or do you think that you couldnt keep up with Melissa and I?

We are having a blast....hiking and kayaking
The weather has not been with us so far. It snowed the 1st few days here then has been somewhat cold.
I LOVE LAKE TAHOE!!!!!!!!!!!
We have been hiking and kayaking when the weather permits. The lake is beautiful as ever.
I no cell service and only occasional wireless web when it is not cloudy LOL so will post more once we get off the mountain.
I will try to upload pics to snapfish instead of here and see if that works with little coverage
